Today we honor the memory of over 170 Palestinian martyrs who were killed in Gaza eight years ago from November 14-21, 2012 in what was a pre-meditated genocide by the zionist entity.
During eight days of bombing from the land, air and sea, occupation forces intentionally targeted residential buildings, carrying out multiple massacres in which entire families were murdered. In one massacre, twenty one members of the Samouni family were killed, including nine children, and nineteen were wounded when their house was shelled. In another, occupation forces bombed the home of the al-Dalou family, killing twelve people, including five children.
Since the siege and blockade of Gaza began in 2007, the nearly 2 million Palestinians living inside of the world’s largest open air prison have been attacked by the US-backed occupation time and time again. It is in the face of this genocide that Gaza has resisted, and continues to resist. From popular resistance to organized resistance, from the Great Return March to armed struggle, we must defend the right of Palestinians to defend themselves against zionist genocide by any means necessary.
